Garden Gurus Grow is a service that streamlines client care for garden consultants, combining scheduling, payment, and marketing tools. I was brought in to build the brand and embed it in the food-growing movement that is currently taking place in urban communities all over Los Angeles.
Video Production
For the launch, we met with early clients and figures in the food-growing movement (a.k.a. Garden Gurus) to shoot photos and conduct interviews, giving their potential customers a deeper sense of their background, personalities and expertise.
Because of our track record of producing great content, more collaborators and potential Garden Gurus came to us and recommended our services.
Branding and Design
The branding aimed to promote the spirit of the movement, which is one of freedom, community, self-expression and inclusivity.
Gardeners don't come in just one shape or size, they are a diverse group that is growing daily as more people wake up to the business and production practices of big-agriculture and the food system behind our grocery stores.
Social Media
Instagram proved a great resource for community building. Along with exclusive content, we created short-form edits of the interviews we conducted. These shorts were integral to our social media presence and our real presence in the community in Los Angeles and Oceanside, CA.
Result
In only one quarter we:
More than doubled (+57%) Instagram following.
Built out a client base of highly qualified and capable gardeners who can execute any gardening job.
Gained trust from key players in the urban gardening world and established the brand as a trustworthy guide for professional garden consults, their clients, and aspiring gardeners.
